Your first three days in Munich, made easier

B.O.B helps international students begin life in Munich. I meet you at the airport, help with your luggage, and travel with you by public transport to your accommodation. Over the following two days, we work through your SIM card, bank account and health insurance together.

HOW IT WORKS

Your first three days

One person meets you at the airport and works through the first tasks with you, in person.

Day 1

Airport to accommodation

I meet you in the arrivals area and help you manage your luggage. We look at how Munich's public transport works, which ticket you need, and then travel to your accommodation together.

Day 2

Getting connected

We compare SIM-card options and go through the documents you will need in the days ahead. Where it makes sense, I come along for the setup itself and answer your questions about starting out in Munich.

Day 3

Banking and health insurance

I explain the common routes for opening a bank account and arranging health insurance, and which documents are usually required. You choose your providers and sign your own agreements; I help you understand each step.

After

After the three days

You can find your way around, your phone works, and you understand how your banking and insurance applications proceed. Whatever is still open, you know what to do next.

PRICING

What it costs

ABOUT B.O.B

Who runs B.O.B

Baljit Bhatti, founder of B.O.B
"I arrived here as a student myself."

I came to Germany as an international student, and I remember how much of the first week went into basic tasks: transport, a SIM card, a bank account, insurance. B.O.B exists because that week is far easier with someone local beside you.

Before starting B.O.B, I worked for more than ten years in operations and client service, most recently leading a team of 35 people. I completed an MBA at Munich Business School and live in the Munich area.

The service is deliberately small. I work with a limited number of students each intake and speak English, Hindi, Punjabi and Marathi.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the service cost?

€30, paid once, for the three-day service. This is an introductory price while B.O.B works with its first students. Costs charged by others, such as transport tickets, SIM cards, bank fees and insurance premiums, are paid by you directly. There are no subscriptions or automatic charges.

What happens after I submit the form?

Nothing is charged and nothing is booked yet. I check whether I am available for your arrival date and reply using your preferred contact method, normally within 24 hours. Before any payment, you receive written confirmation of the dates, the schedule, the price and the cancellation terms. Your exact flight and accommodation details are collected separately once availability is confirmed, and the airport meeting point is agreed before you travel.

How will I recognise you at the airport?

We agree the meeting point in advance and exchange contact details. I message you when I am at the agreed spot. If it helps, we can also arrange a short video call before you travel.

Can a parent or family member join the introductory call?

Yes. Parents and family members are welcome to join the call and ask their own questions.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Tell me as soon as you can. Reasonable delays are usually manageable. A major schedule change may need a new meeting time, depending on availability.

Can you help with my luggage?

I help you manage your bags on the journey from the airport to your accommodation. B.O.B is not a porter service, so you need to be able to travel safely with what you bring. Let me know in advance how many bags you expect and whether any are unusually large or heavy.

Can I cancel after booking?

You receive the cancellation terms in writing before you pay, together with the confirmed dates and price. Nothing is binding before that point.

Which areas do you cover?

Arrivals in Munich. I live in the Munich area and the service is delivered in person, so I cannot yet accompany students in other cities. You are still welcome to write to me.

Does my university share my information with B.O.B?

No. Universities that mention B.O.B only pass on a link. I receive nothing about you until you contact me yourself.

How is my information used?

Only to answer your inquiry and organise the service you request. Your details are not sold and are not passed to universities or other organisations for their marketing. Form delivery runs through Formspree, and unfinished form drafts stay in your own browser until you close the tab. You can ask for deletion at any time. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

What is not included in the service?

Regulated advice and official procedures. I do not give legal, immigration, tax, financial or insurance advice, cannot guarantee the decisions of banks, insurers or authorities, and do not complete applications or sign contracts in your name. You choose your own providers throughout. Travel is by public transport; B.O.B is not a taxi or transfer service.
